Chili-spiced Chicken

1 ts Chili powder
1/2 ts Ground cumin
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Garlic powder
1/4 ts Cayenne
6 6-oz skinless chicken breast halves
Cooking spray
1 ts Oil 14 1/2 oz Can no-salt-added whole tomatoes; undrained; chopped
1/2 c Green onions; sliced
2 ts Cornstarch
2 tb -water

After combining the first five ingredients, sprinkle it over chicken breasts.

Spray skillet with cooking spray and heat oil over medium-high. When oil is hot add chicken; cook a couple of minutes on each side or until browned. Add tomatoes, onion and jalapeno. Boil and reduce heat. Simmer until chicken is tender--20 minutes approximately. Remove with a slotted utensil.

Blend water and cornstarch and mix into mixture in skillet. Boil. Cook, stirring, one minute or until slightly thickened. Spoon over chicken.
